This summer is heating up, and we’re heading down to Los Angeles for the upcoming Western Food Service & Hospitality Expo. This year’s expo runs from August 28th through August 30th and is being held at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Showcasing Epson ColorWorks Label Printers
DuraFast Label Company will have representatives at the Epson booth (booth #1330) where we will be demonstrating Epson ColorWorks label printers that are well suited for the food service and hospitality industry.
The food service industry has traditionally been served by low cost, low resolution thermal label printers. While these label printers got the job done, their appeal is largely limited to their speed and not quality. Thermal printers typically print plain black text and graphics on white label stock in either 200 dpi or 300 dpi print resolution.
Epson ColorWorks label printers such as the Epson TM-C7500G, TM-C3500 and GP-C831 offer food service and hospitality businesses a far superior alternative — complete with the print speeds required for fast service and full color graphics and text.

- Versatility — Our customers love that they can use their Epson color label printers to print their own custom food service and hospitality labels, coupons, receipts, badges, event tickets, and wristbands on demand. For example, a hotel might use the Epson TM-C3500 label printer to print full color room service labels as meal orders come in. If holding a special event, the hotel could switch out the label stock for tag stock and quickly print hundreds of event tickets in full color, complete with company branding.
Epson also has a “label terminal†(Epson TM-C3400-LT), which is a standalone unit that includes a built-in color touchscreen. The Epson TM-C3400-LT is ideal for special events, festivals, concerts, beer gardens, outdoor events, and other areas where a computer or network connection might not be available.
- Speed — All of the Epson color label printers we’ll be demonstrating at the Western Food Service & Hospitality Expo are fast. They use pigment inks which dry instantly and don’t smudge or smear. This combination of speed and instant-dry ink is exactly what’s needed in a fast-paced restaurant, bar, food counter, or hospitality environment.
- Food Safety – Have you given any thought to the inks you’re using to label food products? Epson has! The inks used in the Epson ColorWorks service label printer are non-toxic and do not contain PCBs, asbestos, ozone layer, dioxins, disrupters, or other prohibited chemical substances.
